For adding a waste boss into an existing PVCu soil pipe. Must be solvent welded into position. For use with 32mm or 40mm pipes. Ideal replacement for cast iron soil stacks. Lightweight and easy to install. Self coloured black PVCu- no need to paint.

How do you fit the plastic pipe into these?
Once this is fitted to the soil stack, what seals the incoming (40 or 32mm) pipe? Should this have a rubber seal of some kind, or does the pipe just sit loose in the plastic?

Mine came with a rubber bung in the pipe (as per photo) so the 40mm pipe simply pushes in to form a seal.

Our Soil Strap on boss can be used to connect push fit waste pipes to the 110mm soil pipe in conjunction with either of the following boss adaptors;
32mm waste pipe – product code 431950
40mm waste pipe – product code 431951

You will require a 54mm hole cutter. Once piping has been connected, please ensure that they are jointed together with solvent weld.

We would recommend using our Hole Saw Set, Product code 500584. Please remember to drill at a low setting to ensure that the cast iron does not crack.

The correct hole saw required is between a 50mm to a 54mm depending on your Cat Iron Piping. To seal the soil strap on boss, to your Cast Iron Soil pipe you will need to solvent weld the Cast Iron pipe to the boss, once set then strap on the strap to secure the boss.

Question
What size hole do I drill into a 110mm diameter plastic soil stack before I glue on the 40mm boss.
Should the boss come with a nut and bolt to tighten the strap that goes around the back of the soil pipe as all the ones in our local store do not.
