Not really, the weight depends on the water content. If you keep your punchbag indoors, you'll need dry sand and the driest you can get is kiln-dried block paving sand which comes in plastic sacks. It has a very small, fine particle which is easy to pour through a hole. Other bagged sand is damp and could cause mildew in your house. If your punchbag is outdoors, use building sand because it's cheaper!
