Compared with "branded" extractor fans - this product is extremely quiet. I can't measure the decibels, but installed in an ensuite, with the door closed, if the fan is working it can barely be heard from the bedroom - and this is in a modern house with studded walls - a similar product from a major electricals brand rattles and vibrates and sounds like a small prop plane from in the bedroom!

Answer 2
26.7dB(A). This is quiet for the amount of air it shifts.
Sorry I can't answer the timer question. I couldn't even see how to adjust it. Mine came with no instructions.

Question
external dimensions of product
Hello Wickes,
I have an old wickes 4" Extractor Fan with timer
710551 (WFAN4T)
230V AC 50 Hz 20W

I'm looking for a replacement without the need to completely change the mounting position. The dimensions you mention is 10 CM, is this the fan dimension or external dims (the fan is 4" which is 10 CM), so i'm a little confused which one would be best without major changes to the mounting and potential replaster of the ceiling.
thanks in advance. Regards, Adrian

Question
Can this fan be wired in from below the ceiling asi have no access to my loft
I have my wiring and my extractor duct in place as it was done when the roof was replaced, there is now no access to my loft space, its only 2 foot high to the ridge from where i want to mount the fan. i was going to fit a low voltage one as it is close to the shower (zone 2). but yours is cheaper and quieter

To adjust this extractor it will need to be done when wiring the fan. This can be done by the small adjustment Knob. However we suggest not touching this set up as it is already factory set at approximately 20mins.
